Rules: It can be any subject (object) that can fit on a table top and must be made in a studio setting. It is up to the student to come up with not only the subject, but also the backgrounds and props. NO SEAMLESS! Each student will turn in ideas pages, test shots and the final print and jpeg of the final image.
Please note that there will be two final grades:
1. One for Creative (50 points max)
2. One for Technique (50 points max)
There are three parts to this assignment.
Part #1 Ideas Pages due April 12th, 2023. (Total 20 Creative points)
Present examples of ideas for your shots (i.e. environment/background, props,
color palette)etc. as instructed during class. Present at lease a couple of ideas and make sure your presentations are informative and professional. Please put your presentation in a folder with your name (LastName First) and download it into Google Drive folder labeled "Final Assign Idea Pages"
Note: Failing to turn in Idea Pages on time could result in 10 points being subtracted from the Idea Pages Grade.
Part #2 Test Shots due April 24th, 2023 (Total 20 Technique points)
Present a minimum of 5 jpeg test shots. Please show a variety of ideas, compositions, backgrounds, Lighting, etc.
The images need to be place in a folder with the students LastnameFirstname and download into the google drive folder labeled "Final Assign Test Shots".
Note: Failing to turn in test shots on time could result in 10 points being subtracted from the Test Shots Grade.
Step #3 Final Jpegs and Print due May 3rd, 2023 (Total 30 Creative points/ 30 Technique Points)
A minimum of three final jpegs, (See Jpeg File Setting below) make sure they are the best of best; Composition, Editing, Lighting, Props, Background, etc. along with a print of the one you think is the strongest of the three.
The Jpegs need to be place in a folder with the students LastnameFirstname_Final and download into the google drive folder labeled "Final Assign Jpegs". Print will be handed in by the end of class.
Step #4 Final Critique Monday, May 8th, 2023 @ 1:15pm - 3:15pm
Note: Coming to Final Critique late and/or having the assignments turned in late could have 10 points subtracted from the Final Jpegs & Print Grade.
